Total SGC$: 604.85 |  Hw 2 noe if newborn baby hamster is alive?
My hamster Fei Fei just gave birth to 2 babies. 1 is confirm dead already coz like deformed and the pet shop ppl say its dead..
Then when i reach home, i saw another baby hamster in the cage!! looked more normal.. but i'm lazy to go back to the pet shop and i dont dare to take the baby out..
But i observe closely, and that baby hammy like no heartbeat and doesn't move.. Fei Fei is always 'hugging' it.. covering it.. So i dunno if the baby is still alive..
how to see if a newborn baby hammy is alive? they are like less than 5 hours old.. =(  CLICK

yeah.. i didnt touch them.. but i added more wood shavings.. to give them more comfort.. mummy hammy is like always lying on the baby or sitting on it.. can the baby breathe? CLICK

(: leave the hamster mummy to do the job. just refill water and add food from time to time. only clean the cage after 2 weeks from birth. good luck on ur hammie babies!

from experience.. a new born baby hammie WILL move about in akward motions.. and if the baby is dead .. the mother will eat it.. and .. u should be able to notice the pinky lil "worm"'s breathing.. hope the hammie is fine..
u know .. u can actually see the dark dark red vessel in the middle of the hamster's body.. quite close to the head.. u can see if it's "moving" or not.. and plus.. how come only 2 babies.. hamsters are known to give birth to a litter or up to 20 .. i dont know if they are the same breed.. o.o both grey color..
i see the baby like not moving.. now it's covered by the mummy.. so cannot see..

hope the baby survive.. at first i tot fei fei was a male.. which mean i have 2 male hammies..
but just now suddenly got baby inside.. -.- fei fei was a fake male.. -.-
we tot she was just growing fat.. eating alot.. coz from the start she's the bigger size 1.. CLICK

lol.. opposite of mine.. i dont mind them giving birth but i wan the baby to live.. so poor thing.. so small only.. but i think its dead lei.. coz it's not moving AT ALL!!! sadded CLICK
