In Buddhism, all ghosts are hungry ghosts. They are hungry because they have nothing to eat. Hence their 'HOLIDAY'.

hmmm i thought is suppose to be all the souls that was in hell, got a chance to come out during that month to have their meals as for the rest of the months in the hell, they are being tortured, burnt and they cant eat anything also.
