Unless one is for work and the other play.

Total SGC$: 83.00 | Re: HP Student Promotion! I've got mine TX1005AU not the TX1222AU before the promo. There's a few bugs in mine. Not to discourage anyone to buy but it's working well for me. The screen is really wide and therefore a little short.
If you have lots of toolbars for your web browser, beware as it might take up a little too much space. AMD is supposed to be for playing games but thanks to the ratings of Vista specs, it's only a 3.5-4 out of 5.
The video ram reads 0 in my TX1005au, but the graphics ram reads more than 224. If you see the specs in the 1st post, Nvidia 6150 is really the lousiest of it's kind. But that's the best for conserving power.
And one more thing, it uses broadcom wireless technology. If you are using it in NYP, you will not be able to connect. A few students in NYP using this model of laptop is unable to connect.
Oh wait, maybe the problem has been fixed. I only had problems connecting to the wireless in school. At home, at Wireless @ SG, it's good.
Quite heavy for it's size, 2kg. And battery doesn't last even 2 hours unless you dim down screen to minimum, turn of all sounds, use only word processing. The 6 cell which is free barely lasted 5 hours. It's very thick too, thanks to the touchscreen.
And one advice, the screen of the touchscreen laptop has a shorter life than those of magnetic type screen. You can check out Fujitsu's touchscreen, it uses magnet or something. A
There's no one touchscreen notebook so far, except for this HP one. I hardly touched it's screen, seldom draw on it. Cause I want to make it last longer.
The good thing? You can draw when you like and calibrating the screen takes one hell of a long time. You know? when you shoot zombies on arcade machines, you have to make sure you shoot where you aim?
Same here, you have to hit where you poke, and 3 months into using it, I haven't pinpointed it yet. That sucks. But overall, I would advise people to buy since I've no regrets so far. It has all I need.
