Decided to start this thread for couples, as i believe, most ppl cracked their brains during anniversaries for plans and gifts? i know cos i'm one of them. So in order to help everyone and myself, throw in your ideas! Or say anything that u or ur mate had done in the past.. it'll be useful for many

If one has to be so superficial as to celebrate monthly anniversaries it's pretty clear that the couple has run out of ideas to keep the relationship going?

No offence to anyone, that's just my opinion.

why u sae that?? u dun ever celebrate anniversary b4?

celebrating anniversary can be a way to show appreciation for each other and ur r/s.

Even married couples do that too altho they do it yearly instd of monthly but its personal preferences.

I think monthly anniversaries celebration is optional.
Depends on individuals tho'. Some couples do not like that.
They'd just pick (for example) the 1st mth. 6mths and 1st year as celebration.
Whereas the subsequent mths/years will just be based on yearly anni celebration.

That's my style lur, I think. Haa.
Spending quality time together for that special day is impt tho'.
Be it monthly/yearly.

A card/letter for monthly anniversary can be good enough.
Whereas during the yearly ones, it's more impt and meaningful.
Hence, of course, some gifts and surprises should be given.

However, even if there's no anniversaries or special ocassion to celebrate, I think couples should also buy stuff for one another. For example, their fav stuff, or things they want. It's nice~

i agree that sometimes having monthniversary is a good way of showing appreciation. although i personally dun do that but my younger does tt..
he and his gf has been tog for 4 yrs and up to date they have celebrated for 48 monthniversaries... thumbs for them man..

celebration is like not very important to me .
i had a friend's girlfriend .
she demands every single present every single month .

i don't celebrate monthlies... in fact i don't even remember when i got attached.. same for my other half.. :p

and yah, every month give something will always be boring yet stressful in the long run...

how abt whipping up a few dishes @ home for candlelight dinner.. play sentimental music, enjoying red wine.. erm.. bath together and scrub each other's back and lights off.. woohoo
