how to renew passport for nsf? - Singapore's Online Community

my passport expired liao and i need to renew it, anyone know how to renew it if you are serving ns now? i dun have my NRIC anymore, and should i go ICA or CMPB to renew? i did some search on the internet, the info not very detailed leh. say wat bring NRIC, i only got 11B.

last time when u want to go oversea u got to go CMPB or i go tampines safra now i not sure. call up CMPB ask lor hehe

Call up ICA and check with them, if no time to call up.. email them

Expired passport cannot be renewed..Have to make a new one..i helped my bf who is currently serving his NS (regular) to do his passport..unless you are a regular 11B is able to get thru application of passport..if not you are required to get from your chief clerk your NRIC details to make a new passport..If still unsure of it, you can call ICA @ the following details : -

u don't need to renew ur passport, juz nid to extend it by getting a chop from SAFRA. I know Safra Tampines does it, cos i went there to get the extension chop. no nid ic, 11b most prob nid.

BUT, i think nowadays u can't go there anymore, but this is what u nid:

Go ICA. They auto renew my passport until the expiry date.

I think we need to verify:

Is there a difference between the validity of the passport book itself and the chop that they put on?

hmm, my passport suppose to expire in yr 2000, but the chop extends it to yr 2005. thats the last time i had it extended. i think still can extend some more without making new one. tmr i go call them up and ask. i see on the ICA website my passport can last for 10 yrs (2009). hopefully can use 11B coz i dunno who my chief clerk is.
