Well, it depends on the purpose of the question. If you tell me you spend 10% of your pay on food alone, it doesn't really mean anything to me. You could be really frugal, or you could be bathing in shark's fin. There's really nothing I can learn from to control my own lifestyle. A person may earn $10k a month, but that doesn't mean that he would want to spend more than he should on food (as an example).
Of course, it would have been more helpful if some people stuck to naming their personal expenses instead of including things like bills. And of course it would be more helpful if we all broke down what exactly we spent on, but that's probably too personal for most people. I wouldn't mind though, if someone else started the ball rolling
Still, probably too late to do percentages for those who stated specific amounts, as that would reflect what they make. Unless they don't mind letting others know how much they make. And I know some people are just itching to shout it from the moutain tops. heh heh. More power to them.
