To me, $35/wk is definitely enough if you are still schooling & if you spend your money wisely. As for koping change, I have to say that you are a very lucky guy. When my mum ask me to buy some stuffs back, that money is being forked out by me. I'm currently working by the way, so I guess she thinks that I'm able to afford these "small & cheap" items & she's right! :biggrin4:

Please don't be surprised that I used to have only $5 of allowance every week when I was in primary school last time. At that time, the food was extremely cheap. Hot dog cost 50 cents, a bowl of rice $1, various snacks cost in between 20 cents and 50 cents.

Then in my secondary school, I got $10 a week ($2 per day). Just $2 a day was enough to buy me a plate of rice or bowl of noodles.

Then I got $25 a week ($5 per day) during my time in poly. $5 was just enough to buy me a lunch and drink a day.

Sound tough right? :biggrin4:

I got $5 per week when i was in primary school..
cos now my current sec sch sell more ex. food then pri sch, so pocket money upgrade to $25 per wk including bus fare too..

Yea, how you live through anyway?

For me, last time poly (2yrs ago) $50 a week only. Sometimes I can be super thrifty, $50 can last more than a week...provided no social activity. Or skip lectures alot during the week (lol).

Sometimes really not enulf...considering my poly very very far from my house then 1 week transport fee already >$10 liao.

Haiz...student = poor.

Think it was only $5 per week in Primary School; $10 per week in Sec school; $20 per week in JC, then by the time reach UNI, had to give part time tuition to give pocket $$ to parents liaoz... :speechless:
