Well...first of all...you need to consider whether you really need to lose weight.
If you've a good height and body weight ratio, then you're healthy. Even better if you exercise regularly, like swimming or jogging 3 times a week (at least 40 mins each time). Such exercises are good and prevent the body from falling sick easily.
It really depends on what you eat, rather than how much you eat.
Fruits, vegetables & water are very good. But you also need some protein from meat, fish and soya products (like Tofu) for a healthy body.
Walking is good, but to really burn fats, a person must maintain an exercising heart rate for at least 20 mins or more. This is because the body starts burning fats only after the first 20 mins.
Another great way to keep fit, is skipping rope

This is an easy and fun way to keep in shape. While skipping, listen to your favourite music!
