I once tried to find exact reasons why one will know that he or she is THE ONE but after awhile I realised that it really is a kind of feeling I get when I'm with the person after a long time.

don't even bothered to interfere.
if things go well = get married and have baby gnomes.
if things go bad = break up.

u know, living together and being together is different. life before and after marriage is also different. hence, there is really no fool proof way of telling whether one's your lifetime partner.

well, in a way, understanding you during difficult times may not be totally sufficient. perhaps sharing the burden, sparing her shoulder for you, helping out if possible, and going that extra mile to make sure you're alright are some of the things she might do if she's the one for you.

time is also another factor. contrary to popular belief, i personally think that time is one major factor. nothing beats the time needed to get to know you, understand you, and feel you better. of course, there will be a time when you decide that your relationship has matured enough to settle down. that will be the time when you can pronounce that "time is not an issue", 'coz anything from then on will mean the same.

difficult times may be a blessing in disguise, as such situations will really test the maturity of your feelings for one another. least that's how i think.

you're still so young........ be patient....... love and settling down should not be your primary concern now. studies, national service, and career will have you breathing down your own throat!

The other half will need to give me a feeling of stability. Its a thing where 2 ppl can or cannot live togetehr for the rest of their lives so at least both shld feel very natural n comfortable together. Just like part of the family.

life partner? thats a million dollar question. U can never tell. unless u give it a go. trust me. No one can tell that that particular person will his or her life partner..its impossible..

I know. I just wanted to know how you people know whether your bf/gf will be your life partner based on what aspect of them/your relationship.

I think a sense of security and stability would mostly be for girls.

For guys, it would be someone who would lend a listening ear, someone who is a great cook.

P.S, this is just created for fun. I don't mean that you must end up with him/her based on what you post here.

Thats why we call it the Courting stage.

If we knew, everyone would've ROM already.

As to how you know he/she will be your future partner. Everybody have their own pre-requisites. If your partner meets your pre-requisite and your feelings for your other half is immense than perhaps that person is the one.

I think is the "feeling" in you that tells you whether he or she is the one for you by whether or not you feel comfortable with him or her. If you don't feel comfortable with each other, no point going deeper into it. You are wasting each others time and may end up getting hurt.

i think you'll have to wait till the time come for you to really know who should be the one to be there for you till the end of time, and happily every after. = )

if you want some direct answers, maybe look for some fortune teller and he'll tell you, that's what I learn in tv shows ! = x

You might have this feeling for this particular girl and you think that everything is gonna work out between you and her, but what if something happen ? Don't ask me what, but what if ~?
So just wait and live one's life happily !

Something's just cannot be seen and felt outright especially what your question here. All I can say is that there will be definite signs when the time comes. The mistakes and bad habits are enough to put the other party to the real test. So detestable are some of them, that we will be the 1st candidate on the abandon list BUT yet there will be that special someone that will be "weeping" and still manage to come back round - hug you and say "I Love You" right in front of your face. How's that?
