Hi all!

This is my first post...I've check through the threads and used the checker to check for repeat posts...it was clear..so pardon me with the following questions..hope all u experts can enlighten me. My qns:

1) If I go to a shop to mod, how do i check if they really give me the chip they claim? (Eg they claim d2pro2..but maybe give other chip that cannot update via DVD de) Asking coz some chip cannot upgrade firmware, and I would prefer not to open the set.

2) If I kena conned, like instead of D2pro, the shop give me argon, and I insert d2pro update, wat will happen? will brick or not?

3) Any1 of u all know any shop that is honest in this aspect?

4) If after mod, in future my chip cannot upgrade, will it run original game without problems?

1. no way to know unless u open the console and see. The other way is try to update it, but only possible with update-able chip. So u must find a trusted place to buy from.

2. Most of them just refuse to update, and nothing happen.

4. My one is OK, not a single problem until now.

argon update is recommended using the jtag programmer. i think usually people will only update the wii if they have problem running some games, haha. plus u shudn;t juz jump at any update b4 researching on it.
