how to know this girl from friendster - Singapore's Online Community

hi.. not sure if this is the relevant place to post my topic. so do pardon me.

let's say i just saw this girl's profile on friendster and i really want to know her and hope to be her friend. how should i go about it so as not to make myself look desperate? ok i must admit there will be a slight percentage that the girl will surely think i'm one of those despos, but it just can't be helped. i know it take lots of guts and confidence to approach a girl and to make her leave a good impression on you. still remembered once when i approach this girl on the street once, i did managed to get her number, but after chatting with her a few times realised she's already attached, i was so heart-broken. it was my first time approaching her 'love at first sight' lor.. haiz

anyway i have just send her a message in friendster stating my sincerity in knowing her and also added her in msn, now only have to wait for her reply. kinda anxious.

alright pple, care to share any of your such experience in this thread? also ladies any experienced on being approached by guys outside or online before?

I guess it all depends. If to know each other from networking sites like Friendster, whereby the guys would PM you to ask if they can get to know you, I'd say it's rather not my cup of tea. lol However, things can be slightly different if those guys are sincere about being your FRIEND (first, and nothing else) by probably sending a really sincere message. Not just one statement like "Hey, can I get to know you" or similar.

In any cases, virtual world means you can't see the real person and hence sincerity is very important. It will lead to the other party's thinking and feeling about you.

P/S: oh by the way, the lady whom you approached on the street.. It's quite a blessing that you and her are unable to become a pair. Think about it this way. She's attached and she's still willing to exchange no. with a stranger, if you and her get together, wouldn't she do the same too? She's probably still looking around and not wanting to settle down.

erm. i normally jus reject all ppl who came to ask for nums on the street. i think tad its so dangerous!
n those on frendster, i cant even be bothered to read those messages anymore. ive gort those who leave their email address, hp num n other details, asking me to call them. so exaggerating!

Very easy u just send her message or comment in friendster, and add her as friends. Then ask for number
when have time sms her or date her out, den go watch movie, then after few yrs, u both will get marry

is she any near related like friend's friend's friend's or whatsoever. if not, just forget about her. stop going to her profile and you will forget about her quickly.

friendster had tons of spamms.
i had a GOOD time clearing them before i get to read serious messages.. (mostly from the Paramedics i knew)

my gan-meis told me that there are guys who are really despo to know them. some even left full contact details.. its like wth right?

as a GUY myself, i'm not so despo to know people.
Friends come and goes, Best Friends will stay forever.
i certainly agree with this line.
