Total SGC$: 1,171.26 | How to Improve Your Business By Changing The Way You See Your Business One of the biggest disappointments in young entrepreneurs today is the lack of understanding in the way they see business. Most of the young people i observe or came across thought that business is the easiest way to make lots of money. They thought that all you have to do is have a product, any product and find a place to sell them and you will make lots and lots of money.
However, the truth is far from it. This article will make you realize, why no one buy from you even if you have a product, why you will fail to sell to anyone and how changing one simple thing can make all the difference between struggling and thriving business. The Product
Lets start with products or services. No matter what products or services you are selling, you will not make alot of money from it. Yes, its true, it doesn't matter what kind of products or services it is, no matter how much effort you took to manufacture it, no matter how much money it takes for you to deliver it here, you won't maximize the financial potential of it. Why? Because people simply don't buy products or services.
Yes, you see right, they don't buy products or services. What they do buy are the results these products or services gave. For example, if you go to hardware store and buy a drill. Do you really want or drill? Yes? or do you really want a hole?
See? Its the hole (results) that you are looking for and if you have a product or service, what are the results can they give? Too often too long most young entrepreneurs are stuck with a trader mindset. They think that all they do is sell clothes, sell bicycles, sell commodities.
So the first thing you need to do in order to improve your business is to ask yourself, 'What results can my product or service give?' The Salesman
When you start out in business. You are the salesman. And the fundamental key to sales success is trust. A study shows that 80% of the businesses are done because the person giving the order like and trust the person taking the order. Another amazing study happen too. It was found that most new businesses done are referrals by past clients.
have you ever been told that such and such a restaurant or such and such a hairdresser or such and such a movie is good. And you went to try it out? Well, its referrals at work.
Now the thing is, It all starts with the salesman, that is the entrepreneurs themselves understands that, in order to have repeat and referral businesses, they have to treat their clients right.
So the next thing you need to do is ask yourself, 'have you treat your client right? Have you tried to give them the best advice? Have you tried to feed them with better information?'
If you have not, then its wise to start thinking what you can do.
The Promise
Every business have a promise. It could be 'Deliver in 30 mins or the pizza is free' (Domino), or more recently 'Prepared in 60 sec or a free Salmon Bowl is yours' (Yoshinoya). If you want to improve your business, make a promise. Remember the first criteria, results? You can and must make a promise that you can deliver the results with your products.
If you do that in everything you do, say or mail to your prospects, you will see a sharp increase in the level of interest and cash.
My maiden blog, mindchic.blogspot.com make a promise. It will deliver only inspiring and uplifting videos, news and stories. As a result, I receive 3 reviews on other people's blog and a few praises.
My point is, if you make a promise, you will make more money. The Delivery
The last equation on the way you see your business is the delivery. That is what your client is waiting for. How good can your product deliver? Are they as good as advertising? Is your follow up service up to expectation?
The best kind of delivery is the product satisfactory. And it helps when people write testimonials about it or referral a friend to you. So make sure your product or service does what you promise. The Truth
In conclusion, most businesses have alot of potential. The problem they face is not able to identify the true value they can give to the client. Once they identify that and make it known to the client, they will have better chance in making more money. If you are in this situation right now, see if you can change the way you see your business.
Be warn though, when making promises, never make it too exaggerated. Doing that will tarnish your reputation in business and once its gone, its gone for good. Rule of thumb will be, 'Exceed expectation'. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. This is a great article. Is this written by you? If it does, am sure you have lots of experience in business.
I do agree every bits of what you mentioned. Everybody wants to do business, but not everyone can do it..I believe that if anyone wants to succeed in doing business, he has to come up with a good plan. He has to know the basic fundamentals of differentiating "wants" and "needs"..
Err. Seems like, well, doing business is amazing eh. Ha!
Thanks for sharing again! Would love to read more of such and will definitely help me in increasing my "business mind" level. . . . view my profile if you want to know more. |

If you talk about starting and running businesses, I have little experience...But if you talk about marketing a business, product or person, then I would say I am learning this skill intensively. I try to put what I learn into practice and it helps when you see results in a short period of time.
I hope my article provide insights and help improve businesses, coz that is the intent. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
