Hi all,

have heard from lots of people that HK's shopping is fantastic and all. But, was wondering, how cheap is cheap really? Cuz I'll be going there in June. And I love a specific bag. Was thinking whether to import or go there buy.

Can anyone give example? Maybe..how much is the cost of a Gucci bag there? When I go onto HK Yahoo Auctions, a AAA+ replica Gucci bag can be selling for ~S$100++.

I am not sure how much the Gucci bag is there because basically i go to ladies street and temple street to shop. But you can make a trip down to Causeway Bay and Central the branded goods are there.

Shopping at ladies street and temple street and be cheap if you can bargain.
and do remember to try their fish skin and fish eggs in normal and curry (fish ball)

i think the wearther will be hot...

the branded stuff there are cheaper than SG..
but not alot bah...

the real bargains are at ladies street, temple street? (provided u know how to bargain) =]

causeway bay is nice to shop (something like orchard road). but then, things can be alittle ex ba... at least the branded goods there are real, and cheaper than in singapore (:

It depend on what you wanna to buy,
For economy fashion stuff, you should head down to Mok kok MTR station.
The ladies and temple street can be access from Mok Kok station. But the things there are like pasam malam. If you are staying at Causeway Bay, you can find a lot of high fashion stuff at Times Square.
Nearby , you can get cheap local design fashion wear too. they sell stuff like what u find at Fasr East Plaza

The High end shopping in HK is not really cheap. But you can get more design than Singapore.
The only thing that you save is GST (so 7% cheaper)
The high end stuff are at Pacific Plaza. (Admiraty MTR station)

there are some small little stores in some shopping centres at mongkok.. selling branded stuff also...
(dunno whether they are 2nd hand or wat..)

pacific plaza is something like SG de paragon...

If u wanna shop for branded, i think US is the best place...not asia. Branded stuff in Asia is all overly priced..for God's sake.

But US is totally not within my budget of going overseas. Considering the fact I dont hold a full time job...haha.

The price to buy ticket + accomodation, can buy a decent over-priced branded good in Asia le. And, will turn out to be cheaper =P Haha..

U wan to buy replica or original? If u wana buy replica n u gt time, I suggest u go over to Shenzhen. Very convenient too. Juz a train ride away. U can try Fayuen Street for low to mid range wear. Temple street not a lot of clothes mostly guys staff. Ladies street mostly for tourist, the locals dun buy there. Mongkok stn area gt lots of shopping. Take a free map from the airport or from ur hotel. Very informative. June will be quite warm... August will be the best time to go. as they will be doing summer collection clearance....
