How to avoid a guy? - Singapore's Online Community

Hi I'm in a social group with this same guy who I really feel bothered by his way of acting. I don't know if he likes me so I assume not and I have already clearly made my stand very clear that I'm not interested in having any boyfriend for the meantime like a few years?

However, he has repeatedly tried to call me for chats and act "cool" or simply actions to gain my attention. Apart from that, he's okay and didn't get touchy with me anymore after I had a "long talk' with him .But I just feel sian and sick talking to him coz it's like come on, stop trying to gain attention. I only smile and talk to him by not trying to be mean.

Should I block him from MSN? Whenever I talk to him as a "normal friend", he doesn't take it that way I feel. How should I "talk to him" again? I really feel like scolding him oops. I could admire someone not being physically so good-looking but respect them because of the way they treat people. Anyway he's NOT my type in terms of character and priority and the way he acts...we are just world's apart. After I had a 'talk with him", he told me not to misunderstand..hmmm....and he tried to touch my hands twice before that. What does that mean guys? Problem is I get to face him like weekly. And he's always saying if I change my image, he would fall for me. It's like hello? I am in the least bit interested in you and you're trying to sell yourself?

Because we're in same church group, I need to respect and not scold. Else it will be super easy to avoid.
Any rational effective advice?

same church group?
do u have a cell group leader?
tell him or her about it and get that leader to talk to him
or else be the 'rude girl' - block him in MSN, ignore him whenever he tries to get ur attention, shut up when he tries to talk to you, plainly just treat him as a non-existance creature

a girl-friend of mine did that that to a flirtious guy once, and that guy eventually lost interest and leave her alone

The more you ignore him, the more he will get the idea that you are least interested in him. Slowly but eventually, he will get the message and give up.

dont block him on msn or anything, your doing fine. as time goes by, he will get tired and give up.

If it was me, I'd have blocked him in MSN since it's apparent that you've attempted to talk things out with him and he still doesn't get the message. Such guys...probably too dense in the head.. so be ruthless in your actions.

And he sounds really MCP. Why do you have to change your image so he can be interested in you?! What a prick. If he continues to irritate you just plainly ignore him and make it known if necessary. :shifty3:

if u wan to avoid rite, jus say "Seriously, there's no hope for u".. tis can give him quite a impact.. haha..

From my past experiences, cell group everybody also lidat wan.

cant stand it, ignore him totally, ur not obliged to talk to him or respond when he talks

You can choose to ignore him and treat him as transparent lor.. As for msn, dont need to block him de wor.. Coz the more u try to block, the more attention he will try to get from u. =)

maybe he's trying to flirt (oh who knows the best rather than him) -well~ that's a guess and assume-

it;s better if you just ignore him.
it's the best not to block him and just appear offline if you can.
if not just appear online and let him flood your msn for all the hell he wants and just leave that convo aside.
and as time past, he'll get tired, he might think he's really talking to himself since there's no reply from you.
