There are actually for the needs. Sorry not sure abt this voucher also until I saw this thread. So I did a seach and find this website with application form

I remember is only $900,000 out of 3 million is given to NTUC and others is the CCC

Needy families to get $30 transport vouchers
EVEN as bus fares go up, needy families will once again get help - transport vouchers worth $3 million will be given out to help them cope.

Some 100,000 families are expected to each get a $30 voucher, which should cover the increase for a year.

The once-off vouchers can be used to buy or top up ez-link cards - electronic farecards - or to buy monthly concession passes.

A Transport Ministry spokesman estimated that, typically, a single voucher could defray a poor family's fare increase for one year.

For example, a family spending, say, $100 a month on public transport will have to pay about $2 more a month with the fare increase.

'This means about $24 more a year, which the $30 voucher will more than cover,' the spokesman said.

Acknowledging that some families might spend more than $100 a month on travel, he said they can turn to the CCC ComCare Fund, which provides interim cash relief to those who need it urgently.

The Government will shoulder $2.4 million of the cost of the vouchers, while the remainder will be footed by SBS Transit ($0.5 million) and SMRT Corporation ($0.1 million).

The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) will help to disburse $900,000 of this sum to its needy union members, who number about 27,000 to 30,000.

The rest will be given out by the Citizens' Consultative Committees (CCCs).

The announcement on the vouchers was made jointly by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Transport on Tuesday, in tandem with an announcement from the Public Transport Council (PTC) that it was approving a rise in bus fares.

From next month, adults using ez-link cards will pay one to two cents more for each bus ride, while senior citizens using ez-link cards will pay two cents more per ride.

MRT fares will remain unchanged.

Public Transport Operators Contribute $0.6 Million To Help Needy Families

The two public transport operators SBS Transit (SBST) and SMRT Buses (SMRT) have jointly contributed $0.6 million worth of transport vouchers to help needy families cope with the bus fare increase.

SBST contributed $0.5 million and SMRT contributed $0.1 million towards the vouchers. Together with the $2.4 million from the government’s Public Transport Fund, a total of $3.0 million will be given out in public transport vouchers this year.

100,000 vouchers will be given out and each voucher is worth $30 and can be used to buy or top up EZ-Link cards or to buy monthly concession passes.

The transport vouchers will be disbursed through the Citizens’ Consultative Committees (CCCs), to complement the assistance they are already rendering to the needy through the CCC ComCare Fund. The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) will also help distribute the vouchers to needy union members. The vouchers will be delivered to the CCCs and NTUC in late October.

Needy Singaporean families who need help to cope with the fare increase can approach their grassroots leaders, the 105 Community Clubs/Centres islandwide. Unionised members from low-income families should apply for the vouchers through their unions or the NTUC.

PLEASE do not apply for these vouchers if you do not fall under the category of 'NEEDY' households... :shifty3:
Just get super disgusted :disgust2: at times with those people whom go & apply for all these welfare benefits at the expenses of those who genuinely need help financially...
I think behaving in a socially correct & morally upright manner is also a way of helping the needy ones (even if 1 does not like the idea of giving to others) as we do not cannabalise them of their such rights!!!
