Anyone has been there recently and has good recommendation of reasonably priced hotels/resorts there? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. resort hotel: reasonable, 2 qween size bed can sleep 4pax, gd for family
genting hotel: reasonable, 2 qween size bed, got bathtub
highland hotel: for silver & gold card member only
resort hotel: smaller than resort/genting, larger than 1st world, next to them park but i feel a bit far. coz most children, eating, shopping is at 1st world.
pls remember bring swimsuit, got heated pool at 1st world n genting hotel. they got heated water theme park also.

But i feel anything more than 1 day in genting are boring.
Will prefer to stay in KL. It will only take roughly 45min to get up to genting from KL town. |

What's the weather there like nowadays? The last time I was there was about 10 years ago. Can anybody enlighten me on this? Thanks!:biggrin4: To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

The lil ones can withstand the cold climate there. In fact better than me.. we all loved the cold breeze..
I checked the weather forecast b4 setting off. The forecast spelt thunderstorm every afternoon.. It's a turn off.. but who knows we were lucky 1st afternoon only drizzle in the afternoon and we were already backed in hotel for rest after indoor theme park. 2nd afternoon we set off for outdoor themepark after breakfast and went back hotel in the afternoon to rest too. Then it rained heavily. After enough rest, we were lucky again the rain stopped and we went back to continue our thrill rides. 3rd afternoon we left the kids with the maid and my dad at the indoor themepark and we went casino. That afternoon, outside was raining cats and dogs.
Jus something to note if u r going with kids, if their height is < 107cm, they'll miss out a lot of rides and u'll need an adult to watch over him or her or choose to forgo.
I stayed in highland hotel this time. Don't ask me how much cos the rooms were exchanged with worldcard points. Room big with 2 queen size beds. Bathroom also big with bathtub. Inside the bathroom, there's 2 other separated cubicles for shower and wc. U can choose to slide open the "door" and watch tv from the bathtub. haha.. hope i dun i sound confusing.
Actually I find it's convenient any hotel there cos they are all linked. Note that you may wan to avoid genting hotel now cos they are renovating.. |

the pros n cons are stated above, depends on wat u like, small room? = 1st world. big room? = resort/genting/highland. cheap? = 1st world/resort expnsive? = genting/highland
u driving or taking bus?
fm genting, going KL is a breeze if u find genting boring. just take a cable car n bus to town only RM 5+++ for ticket, can buy at cable station. |

This yr, when my girl was just about 15mths, we decide to bring her to genting for 1st travelling experience. Ended up she vomit all the way up to genting as she had her milk jus half hour before we drove up the hill. So, is better to let ur small kid had her meal/ milk at least one hour before going up or if possible wait till arrive only let her drink the milk.
