Default Hotel Buffets

Some of the best Hotel Buffets I have tried:

Shangri-la THE LINE

Variety: International
Quality: 7/10
Specials: Desserts & Chocolates
Price: Expensive!

Only for those who like a good ambience and a very big eater... Must try all kind of food..Not bad though....but doesnt worth the price... Try once.. but dont bother going again..

Furama City Centre TIFFANY cafe

Variety: International
Quality: 8/10
Specials: Local Specialty
Price: Affordable

One of the best place to have buffet. Limited variety but a good spread of local food like laksa, durian paste... Japanese Sashimi and tempura are good... Really worth the price... Pay with certain credit card able to get discount and even 1 for 1...

Ritz Carlton GREENHOUSE

Variety: International
Quality: 7/10
Specials: Chocolate
Price: Average

Good Ambience, and a good spread of seafood and local food... Chocolates are the best there! Watch for the dessert - ROck Sugar Hashima!! Seldom see such a dessert in any buffet! Price per pax is considered a bit higher than average.. but worth it...

Marriot Hotel

Variety: International
Quality: 6/10
Specials: Seafood, Pastry
Price: Average

Lots of seafood and appetizers... Japanese sushi and sashimi are good too... Marriot is famous for its pastry... remember to try the cakes and biscuits... Ambience is affected by the busy street of orchard road...

Carlton Hotel

Variety: International
Quality: 6.5/10
Specials: Barbeque and Grill
Price: Affordable

If you like barbeque food, you should try this... They have good barbeque varieties from meat, fish to clams... A good range of appetizers and local food... Limited Japanese Cuisine though...

Meritus Mandarin THIRTY-THREE cafe

Variety: International
Quality: 7.5/10
Specials: Asian Varieties
Price: Expensive

There are a lot of exotic food from different countries... Each marked by a country flag and its local name... Good variety of main courses... Cakes and desserts are also a plus there... But the price is a bit steep...

Royal Plaza on Scotts

Variety: International
Quality: 7.5/10
Specials: Seafood
Price: HIgh

A new, refurbished hotel... Lots of seafood.. ranges from lobsters, clams, oysters to fish... Good japanese cuisine... Ambience is good but it is a bit too squeezy... Overall not bad.. worth to go again.. if you really a buffet fan...!

Grand Plaza Parkroyal

Variety: International
Quality: 6.5/10
Specials: Local Specialty
Price: Affordable

THis cafe often have different themes... Good Peranakan delicacies and asian desserts... Good ambience... Can't provide much info here.. Havent been there for quite some time...

Mandarin Marina AQUAMARINE

Variety: International
Quality: 7/10
Specials: Local Specialty
Price: average

A good spread of seafood and sashimi... Good riceball chicken rice and other local food... A whole range of desserts and fruit juices... Good ambience and newly renovated... Try to be there early for more fresh delicaices...

Changi Village Hotel

Variety: International
Quality:5.5/10
Specials: Local food
Price: Affordable

Not the best place for buffet... but it has very good ambience... Very limited food variety.. but it has good barbeque and the chef's special oyster dish... Out of the way and doesnt meet my mark so I dont really recommend there...

Orchard Hotel

Variety: International
Quality:6/10
Specials: Local food
Price: Affordable

Was recommended by Moses Lim before... Not as impressive... Average quality but quite a wide range of food... As what some said, every now and then there will be themes for the cafe... I still remember it even has Durian as fruits... But you have to finish them at the Alfresco tables!!

Miramar Hotel

Variety: Japanese
Quality:6.5/10
Specials: Sashimi
Price: Average

Basically its a Jap cafe on lvl 1. Its a-la-carte buffet. The sashimi are really good and come in very big portions.. Tempura are nice too... quite a few variety of tempura... The curry rice and veggies is a disappointment... Not a good ambience, the cafe is set up in a japanese theme and can get quite noisy when most of the tables are full...

Orchard Hotel also not bad
Theres porridge buffet at the second floor, and normal buffet in the first floor.
And the first floor de buffet every month will change the kind of food de.
This month is chinese food, they have chinese ramen.
The ramen is delicious, and sometime theres baked pasta too.
But im not very sure about the price, cause usually is my uncle who treat us,and he know 1 of the boss there.

That's a good list. Tried most of them, intend to try the Greenhouse next.

I'm looking for a good buffet that includes proper caviar in the spread. Shangri-La used to have this, but the restaurant has since closed down. The restaurant at Pan Pacific (can't remember the name) advertised this but when I went there, the caviar was crap. More like those used to sprinkle over california rolls. Altho the rest of the spread was pretty good. So anyone knows?

Thanks for the list. Could you add in the cost of the buffet as well?

I will adding more list if I can still remember where I have been...

The price per pax for individual restaurant varies from time to time... So I dont think it will be very useful in the long run...

So basically here's the guide:

Not a good list to compare prices...

Prices I gave in my list is a comparison of food and money, to see whether worth or not...
