For sightseeing, The Peak(山顶), the view up there is magnificant, especially at night, is very very captivating and mind-blowing. I guarantee the view will really blow you off. Another would be Da Yu Shan (大屿山), where the huge buddha is......I heard that many people will visit the Buddha and do some prayers there, you may want to try. The Disneyland, some people say that it's small compared to the other Disneyland, but I think it's still worth a visit.
For leisure, maybe Ocean Park (海洋公园), is somewhat similar to Escape Theme Park, but the rides there are said to be better, more exciting, more variety and bigger.
As for shopping, there is a street in Hong Kong which is known as 女人街, it's located at 花园街,just ask the taxi driver or any locals there and they will know. The street is longer than Orchard Road is, basically roughly every 10 - 15 steps, is one shop. The whole street is filled with shop selling mostly female accessories, clothing, souveniors. To walk through all the shops there, I think it may take you 1 or 2 full days, depending on how much time you spend on each shop for browsing and make sure you walk through all the streets and alley, because some shops are quite deep located between alleys.
The food there is worth a try, if you have the chance, try the 腊味, the taste is very different from Singapore's, so make sure if you have the chance, give it a try.
That's what roughly Hong Kong is about, hope my information is able to help. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Pardon me for giving the wrong info because I have left Hong Kong for more than a decade and only go back for visit once every year or two. So I don't really remember their exact location, the other time I went back, I went to these two places and if my memories did not fail me, I think they are a few streets away.
But thanks for the correction. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

But thanks for the correction. | | | | | Hahahah... no prob, i just came back in Jan, so still can remember...
Ladies market is just a huge pasah malam, they sell all sorts of stuff from children's toys to handbags to clothes and imitation pdts. In that vicinity is also their computer hardware centre as well as their sporting streets...
For shopping at markets, there are other places like the stanley market, temple street, jade market, men's street and etc... more info can always be found in the hongkong website.
Another interesting area is their goldfish street as well as their flower street...
Personally, i've found that its cheaper to buy stuff from Fa Yuen Street than ladies market. Do note that the former operates in the morning while the latter starts in the afternoon. |

The fashion there are newer compared to Singapore and the price of clothing in my opinion is somewhat cheaper compared to Singapore. Depends on what you think is cheap, there are some things that are quite reasonably priced. If you are looking out for branded clothings then head to their discount outlets and some of their factory warehouses for outlet sales... They can be located at a number of places so check the net for more details.
I've heard that APM is a good place to shop but i've not been there before so i can't comment.
In terms of clothes, you can just check out all the G2000, Giordano, Belano and etc that are available all over. |
