Default Honda Civic Type R

Check this out folks! There are 2 different models of Civic Type R in the local market now.

Civic Type R JDM.jpg

Civic Type R UKDM.jpg

The 3 door hatchback is carried by Kah Motor. Made in UK. 200HP.

The sedan is carried by Parallel Importers.Made in Japan. 225HP.

Which one do you prefer? I prefer the sedan version because the hatchback version no aftermarket parts available. Mugen have already developed an array of aftermarket parts for JDM Civic Type R. :love4:

Honda Japan also mentioned that they will be developing the DSG Semi Auto gearbox for the Civic Type R. So far only the Volkswagen/Audi group produces such gearboxes in the worldwide market.

The DSG gearbox features a electronic actuated twin clutch system which provides the effiency & reliability of manual gearbox & the convenience of a auto gearbox.

Hmmm... Civic and Civic Type R look too similar to each other. Any difference between original Civic and Civic R?

To me, sedan look nicer than hatchback.

If you think I have helped you or contributed to this in some way, do add my reputation. Appreciated it. Thanks

Personally,I would prefer the UK 3-dr Type-R..

Though less powerful due to the Euro emmission regulation, but the design is stylish, and performance could still be upgraded once it rch ur hands..

The Civic comes in 3 specification. 1.6L, 1.8L & 2.0L. The 1.8L engine is based on Honda's lastest i-VTEC engine which Honda boast that it provides the power of a 2.0L while consumes fuel of a 1.5L. It is also the 1st Honda engine to use an electronic throttle name as "Drive By Wire"

The 2.0L engine is the engine which you find in Integra GSR or Integra Type S. 160HP.

Civic Type R uses the 2.0L engine from Integra Type R. 220 HP. Although it also uses the normal Civic body & chassis, refinement is made to the chassis design & suspension for better handling.

With the new Civic Type R in the market, Integra Type R is not carried by the parallel importers anymore. But if I'm not wrong, Kah Motor still carry Integra Type S.
