Anyone been to Hokkaido before? Which month is the best to go? Preferably not those super cold

winter months.

Hi Buddy,
Intend to go Hokkaido? I have been to Tokyo before but that was in June in 2005. For Hokkaido, I think usually end of the year is coldest, if I am not wrong. Japan very near to Taiwan and Hong Kong, right? Since Taiwan and HK are usually colder end of year, so I guess it will be colder in NOV and DEC lor. hee hee....:biggrin4:

I was born in Hokkaido. I would agree with fisher that you go to hokkaido end of the year.. Remember to bring more jacket.. To keep you warm as the weather there could reach up to -3c'..

TeamJPN, i intend to go during months not so cold.
Wonder wat's the temp range in Hokkaido? Hottest can go up to how many degrees? Any interesting places i should visit?

hehe hokkaido is nice ^^ been there last dec, during the first few weeks. The snow not thick enough to ski D: i think u should go around dec-jan like that, coz that time got alot of snow and can go ski-ing =D go there should eat the hairy crab nabeh(hotpot), not bad =)

I been to hokkaido last year during December and it like super duper cold to those who really can't adapt to cold. Last year temperature can reach to -8 degree, if i remember clearly. i had been to there a few times as my mum is staying there in Hokkaido.

Been to Osaka in Dec 2004. Missed the place and weather. Japan is my favourite country. Hope to go to Hokkaido soon ^^

Otherwise, if u hate winter, go during july/august. u can see e pretty lavender fields. there's a really yummy lavender cream snack. i think it's better than shiroi kobito. :love4:
