Concept's not new, but I sure believe that it'll be expensive. Driver drives into the lift, get out of the vehicle. Pay through some ticketing machine, system issues a parking lot, and the lift brings it up. | |

Just to correct the misconception that this is not a car park. This is actually the Volkswagon new car storage system in Germany where the company promise zero mileage upon delivery of their new cars.
The car manufacturing facility is a fully auomated robotics facility that is able to manufacture cars on robotic assembly belt thus able to ensure zero milage when the car is delivered to the customer.
If you watched the discovery channel, you would probably see the episode covering the amazing feat of car building in this facility.
