M'sian teen raped by neighbour for three years, keep pregnancy secret

FOR years, she kept quiet about her nightmare.
Her neighbour, whom her parents trusted implicitly, had been sexually assaulting her and forcing her to keep it a secret.

Earlier this year, the Malaysian teenager became pregnant.

She hid the pregnancy from her family, and they never suspected a thing.

Then, on Monday morning, the day she turned 14, the girl gave birth to a stillborn baby boy at her Sungei Petani home in Kedah, reported Guang Ming Daily.

She was alone in her bedroom, and apparently, nobody heard her cries during labour.

The baby, though carried to full term, died soon after birth.

In her panic, the teenager wrapped the body in plastic and stuffed it under her bed.

Despite bleeding profusely after delivery, the girl told no-one about her ordeal.

Later that afternoon, when her family was celebrating her birthday, they noticed that the girl was unusually pale and listless.

When questioned by her mother, the girl admitted that she was bleeding heavily, but claimed that she was having her period.

Her mother decided to send her to hospital anyway.

And it was only there, that the girl's family finally found out the awful truth.

Doctors told the girl's shocked mother that the girl was bleeding because she had just undergone labour.

CONFESSED TO ORDEAL

After being pressed by her mother the next day, the teenager confessed to the ordeal at the hands of her neighbour, and the pregnancy.

She also revealed where she had hidden the body of the baby.

By then, it had already turned black, and was starting to decompose.

But because it was wrapped so tightly in plastic, there was no smell, thus none in the girl's family detected anything unusual earlier.

In an interview with China Press, the girl's mother claimed that her daughter had kept quiet about the rapes because the neighbour, a lorry driver, had threatened her.

She also claimed that the man gave money to her daughter, as a bribe to seal her lips.

The mother said that she had always trusted the 46-year-old man, as they had known each other for years.

She also used to leave her daughter in the man's care whenever she was not free to look after her.

She told China Press: 'That beast has ruined my daughter's life! I would never have guessed that I was sending my daughter to a wolf in sheep's clothing!'

The mother added that she didn't know her daughter was pregnant, because her daughter had remained very active throughout.

The girl is still in hospital, and is said to be emotionally unstable.

Police arrested the neighbour at his home on Wednesday.
