Go to www.blogskins.com
Browse the skins. Types: Blogger Main
Preview the skin on the right.
Download it below the preview button.

Open file. Copy ALL the codes.
Login to your blogger account.
To go Template/Layouts.
NEW Blogger go to Html.
If you're using new blogger, i suggest you revert to classic template.
Removed all the current codes there.
Paste the new codes in.

Slowly you customize them.
You will see "your profile here" or something like this.
& type in yours instead.

Hehe, it all depends. For me, I read more than I look, because the bottomline of a blog is really the content and not the decorations around it. If the pictures and the skin itself are too distracting, it may defeat the purpose of blogging to some extent.
