Last time I always used Studio Line Fx Freeze! gel. But it seems that Singapore does not sell anymore..... so sad!!! y o y???

But ok, I read somewhere that when u add those wetlook gels with wax u can style ur hair as easy as with gel, yet as firm as wax. havent tried it. U will also get the glossy effect of the gel. Anyone tried it? Will it spoil ur hair?

gel easy to wash away better. i hate wax ! it turn my hair into something else, after i use it i feel like my hair doesnt belong to me anymore

imo hair gel is more suitable for shorter hair, can create spiky and shiny hair.

hair wax is better if you want to style your hair to look more natural

actually hair wax also suitable for short hair. u can create a scruffled/spiky look as well. the only difference is the end appearance - shiny or matt.

My take:
Gel - easy to use, but amount of hairstyle very limited.
Wax - depends on the type, those really hard ones can realli do damage to the hair and scalp in a long run, as they are generally tough to rinse off.


I definitely uses hair wax (or so-called rubber, the newer gatsby product). Reason? It's much easier to wash off and thus, chances of leaving wax behind on the hair after a bath is slim (as long as we shampoo). =)

Tip: Use wax sparingly & some after-wax spray and tadaa! u'll haf a hairstyle that stays the whole day, ain't stiff and hard and also, easy-to-rinse-off!

I had started using the new gatsby rubber recently and its much better than the gatsby wax i had used in the past though.

If your hair is short, it is preferred to use red and and purple rubber as you can create spiky hairstyle n roots and wild kind of style. The rest of the colors are for long hair to either create wet look or grunchy hairstyle.

Wats best abt tis rubber is that its sleek n non sticky and will not caused your scalp to produce dandruff at te end of the day
