When u go to the barber/saloon , what hair cuts do u normally go for? What do u tell the hair stylist?

Usually I show a picture or ask them whats the lastest hairstyle.

Just point "I want this length, don't layer for me. " If not then, "Cut whatever you think is suitable for me."

Unless you're going to dye your hair or perm, then you need to give more specific instructions.

Best if you already have something in mind before you step in the hair saloon.

Alright, no matter what I tell them, it always ends up severely wrong.

So I don't bother telling them anything now. Anyway those scissors tend to have a mind of its own too.

ask them not to cut too short... just in case something happen... if it is not too short, you can always tie it up (in a ponytail or something)

For me I prefer giving them a more specific direction to work on. I met many hairstylists who tried to be lazy if u give them more creative freedom.

Yup, I'd do the same but to minimise error, I'd only go to highly recommended salons/hairstylists. Seasoned hairstylists should be able to tell from our hair what cut & style would suit us. So I'd leave my trust (& my hair) in his/her hands. Most of the time I like the style that is recommended to me.

last time i cut until dam short.. until i cry. she cut like anyhow i see the way she cut one big patch.. previously i went to red salon and the guy hairstylist cut bit by bit, very fine.

i think hor, female cut for male nicer, and vice versa.

Oooh, my friend once gave me a similar advice before I went to have my haircut. She said it's better to have a rough idea how you want your hair to be or else they'll just cut anyhow they like. I've had my fair share of that too so now I make sure I only go to the ones whom I can trust. Hee...

which saloon do u all prefer?
RedKen and lo'real both are not bad in my opinion.
