Gone Shopping boasts a stellar cast and production team. Kym Ng stars in the title role of Clara Wong the tragic 'tai tai', and Adrian Pang stars as Valentine Tan, Clara's love interest while Selena Tan stars as Pat, Clara's arch 'tai tai' nemesis. A slew of well known T.V and theatre actors such as Chen Shu Chen, Cynthia Lee, Chermaine Ang, Mastura Bte Ahmad and a handful of wonderfully talented new comers complete the repertoire. At the helm of the film is writer/director and co-producer Wee Li Lin who is considered to be the most prolific female short filmmaker in Singapore with 10 short films and a number of local & international awards under her belt. Li Lin is well partnered in her maiden feature effort by producer Fuzzy Zainol Abideen (Kismet Films), cinematographer Jackie Ong (Cinegear) and music composer Joe Ng.
Gone Shopping is a subtle satire which has been in the makings since 2004! Finally realized after a 31 day shoot which was moslty filmed in various malls around Singapore on High Definition Video, Gone Shopping is a film that will make a mark both locally and internationally as the story hits at the very heart of Singapore shopping centers and it's shoppers, and it does so in a most surprising and intriguing way. anyone supported this local film? anyone watched? anyone supported this local film? anyone watched? | | | | | my friend working at TBP GV told me there was this one fine day.. when the show was about to start, i mean as in like exactly the time slot, den ONE person stepped forward to grab the ticket.
ONE person = whole cinema only him
