Good morning Ohayo (Think of the state of Ohio...)

Good afternoon Konnichiwa

Good evening Konbanwa

How do you do? Hajimemashite

Nice to meet you Yoroshiku

Sorry Sumimasen
Sumimasen is used when you're excusing yourself for being rude. Like if you walk between two people while they're walking or you walk in front of someone while they're looking at something. That sort of thing.
Gomen nasai is an apology. Say you accidentaly bumped into someone, then you would use gomen nasai and not sumimasen.

Thank you Arigato

Thank you v much! Domo Arigato Gozaimasu

Just been to Japan last Oct. Dont worry, Tokyo is easy to get around using their subway, just do some homework beforehand and you can save much unnecessary stress! Knowing 繁體字 helps greatly too! Dont expect too much help from the station staff as most dont understand English well.

http://www.tokyo-subway.net/english/index.html
http://grace.hyperdia.com/cgi-english/hyperWeb.cgi (Good site to check how to get from one place to another, cost, time, etc)

100 Yen shop:
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2077.html

Cheaper than Daiso in Spore but be careful dont lug back the stuff you can already get from Daiso! E.g I bought a pair of Hello Kitty chopsticks at 100YEN, Spore selling $8.90 - Feels good to know I got a good bargain :biggrin4:

One thing still puzzling me is when I see a big big sign with the YEN dollar sign (background blue color), it turns out to be some sort of police station!?!! I thought it is a 100YEN shop *sheepish look*. Yet to find out what is it exactly..
