gifs cant get any better cos of the number of colors it can save. use flash instead lahz... flash can save the compression as jpg (which can save more color then gif).

Just a rule of thumb

- GIF meant for saving illustration/diagrams
- JPG meant for saving pictures (e.g. Meow!)

though sometiems flash players take longer time to load(for me) when posted in a site,but everything's better den gif.

actually if you want to make an animated gif the lazy man's way is to use flash. you just import the video, cut up the parts that you want and export as gif.

if you just want a series of pictures, you can use adobe imageready, though I think it's not that user friendly. the ulead one will be fine as well.
