Default Frustrations of being a Boss

1. After going through two interviews, the would-be employee agreed to ALL
the terms n conditions plus pay and to start work at such and such at
date but she/he did not turn up, let alone call. Found out the would-be
employee got a better offer at another company;

2. During the standard three months' probation period, the new staff took
an average of 4 sick leaves, 3 unpaid leaves and 2 compassionate leaves;

3. Staff who reads and eats breakfast at her/his desk every morning at 9 am;

4. Staff who pretends not to hear the office phone ringing hoping someone
else will pick up the calls;

5. Staff who gets into the office late by an average of 15 mins every
morning but who leaves the office on the dot at 5 pm;

6. Staff who, when handling irate customers, point the finger at the boss
saying that it's HIS decision and fault, not his/hers;

7. Staff who professed their interest in the job during the interview but
once hired, are more concerned with staff's perks, benefits, bonuses
and salary increment than the job at hand;

8. Staff who are taught how to do their work and once he/she has mastered
the job, resigns after getting their 1st year's bonus;

9. Staff who refuses to take on more than one task, stating they are too
busy or they don't know how to do the additional work;

10. Staff who wants high pay for zero working experience just because he/
she has a degree.

It is not the place, nor the condition, but the mind alone that can make anyone happy or miserable.

I've encountered such kinds of employees before. It's really frustrating. Oh yes, and there are some other kinds of employees who steal or pinch off other people's work and claim as their own, then wants to claim credit and more pay.

And then there are some others who are only concerned with playing office politics and create endless messes, quarrels, issues and headaches instead of working productively and harmoniously.

my side boss are doing nothing with their hands only use mouth to work.. we employees are doing much more work den him..

ehh.. some bosses or senior managers who r in HR, Operations or Accounts/Finance don't bring in sales 1 leh... unless he is running a real small SME, then bao gao liao confirm must handle sales himself :shifty3:
