"Every once in a while, comes a band that stretches the imagination of mainstream music. Formed in 2006, Flybar are about to release their debut album “ Scream Without Raising Your Voice”, filled with ultra-catchy, Beatles-esque tunes and incorporatin hints of many other music elements not usually associated with rock music: harmonica, electronic beats, saxophone solos and much more. Amongst the many accolades the band has received, Flybar, consisting of Ian Toh (vocals), Deon (drums), Yado (Bass), Ben (rhythm guitars) and Jon Ong (lead guitars), won the World Battle of the Bands within 3 months of its conception, representing Singapore in Hong Kong in the World Battle of the Bands International Finals 2006 which was transmitted 'Live' internationally via QQ.com and also supported by Channel V. They have shared the stage with Asia rock giants Rivermaya and internationally acclaimed act Jet at Fort Canning Park."
