Hi I have some goldfish as my pet . anyone can help me out ?

recently the water condition isnt good .

the goldfish body got one layer of something when you catch it . its abit sticky .

is it sick or ?? someone pls help me thanks you

I jus did a search online.. the sticky things on the goldfish body is actually eggs. Not sure izzit right.. maybe you can check with those shops that sell goldfish.

My goldfish died in less then a day. I shouldn have used water straight out from the tap. :cry3:

u can use water straight from the tap...u juz have to add anti cholorine into

the water...as for goldfish...when u do a water change...remember to add

salt into the water too....2 feet tank 2 table spoonful of aquarium salt...juz

also standby a packet of yellow powder which can be bought at local fish

shop...cost abt $2 for a small packet...once in a while add some yellow

powder to the tank of goldfish and let them have their "spa"...

the sticky thing u found on their body are not eggs...they are call slime...all

of the fish have it...normally when slime starts appearing on the goldfish...it

would means the water condition is getting bad...as goldfish tends to poo

alot...therefore ammonia is produce....goldfish needs clean water so frequent

change of water will helps.

slimecoat is for the fish to protect against disease.

Also just to add, do not use the japanese yellow powder in a matured setup as it will eradicate all the beneficial bacteria that helps convert your ammonia to ammonium, nitrite to nitrate. Isolate the sick fish before using.
