Firstly, with regard to live earth, i do not watch tv so i really dunnoe what exactly happened.But i do know that is one of the campaign that promotes environmental friendliness.
You mean their campign emitted a large amount of carbon dioxide?I thought is just singing or some concert? Anyway, even if they produced large amount of carbon diodide, if they can pass the message of saving earth, it will be just a small sacrifice ba. Remember, the 2 main source of carbon dioxide emission are burning of fossils fuels and deforestation. If their campiagn can raise the awareness of the world to reduce burning of forests and usage of cars, why not?
With regards to your first question, human are selfish.They cannot forsee what they are doing now will have a great impact on the environment. It is the same as having moral education in school. The message must be regurgitated to them to create the awareness among them.
Post a question here: Can you think of anyway to cut down the illegal logging and burning of forests?(for example: in brazil amazon basin, large area of forests are cleared for cattle ranching, what can be done to this)
