Total SGC$: 14.00 | Econs course in university question Hi. Can anyone tell me what is the difference between studying econs as part of a business course in university or as a subject in an arts and social science course? Any difference in terms of job prospects etc? |

Total SGC$: 730.30 | Re: Econs course in university question From what i know, the economics part of a business course is very, very basic only, dealing with simple demand supply theory. It kinda introduces you to the field of economics.It's only one module.
It is very different from a Economics degree in the arts faculty.
that one ish beri beri der cheemz. you get Game Theory, economic modelling and such. and you take like, 4 years to do.

as mentioned, as a subject its cheem and boring to many ppl. I know of many who give up after taking a few modules of economics. U need to me interested in numbers, as many of the modules are calculating, equations, graphs theories and stuffs.
job prospects wise, if looking to teach econ in JC, of cos Economics degree in the arts faculty is better.
for financial jobs wise, i noticed most of them prefer banking/finance/business then econ... |

whereas econs related modules in other faculties like biz may be more for practical use  |
