Just read the news. The driver who was test-driving the car who killed the sales person in the crash was finally charged to court.
I wonder why the police was able to take such speedy actions only after facing uproars from netizens and the press. Any comments? :speechless:

Singapore police always take own sweet times to do works. Must pressure abit.. push abit.. then will move. I think is becos recently those ppls making alot of noise online and even appear on newspaper then they decide to take action. I reali wonder hw come they took 2 years to find evidence.

I'm curious..the penalty seems very minute..
A person's life is only worth as little as a 5-figure sum?

hmm.. i myself is riding a bike too .. so imo .. they always take accidents cases very lightly .. as they dun wanna get themselves into so much trouble .. so only until the citizens/parents kpkb .. den they will start doing some wrk .. its always the case .. my accident until now .. still haven conclude yet .. dun wanna bother much le ..

? The driver was already sentenced? Thought there was pre trial conference for him in June

I checked and the penalty carried a mandatory jail sentence.:notimpressed2:

probably becos there are many other cases on? not very sure also... and i am in no position to say whether singapore law enforcer are effective or not... cos they can be VERY efficient, and can be VERY slack, depending on individual cases, policeman, and situation

btw, i think this shld be posted in the Current Affair section? :biggrin4:

But the max. sentence also seems too light for such an irresponsible act.
Btw, the last time I remember, you're in the police force wad..you should ask your colleagues mah..

Of coz I think that the police are just speeding up the case due to the complaints by netizen and publicity.

I think it could also be pure coincidence that all these are happening. Besides the guy was also insane to go onto the forum to ask for advice on which sports cars he should get. He deserve the 'trashing'.
