FOR years, it never occurred to her that she was a victim of sexual abuse.
The 17-year-old didn't even know what sex was, as she wasn't allowed to go to school or have friends.
A few months ago, her foster father finally let her take up an apprenticeship at their neighbourhood hair salon in Seremban, Malaysia.
And it was there that she found out that she had been sexually abused by her foster father for eight long years, reported Guang Ming Daily.
The shocking revelation was made during a casual conversation with her colleagues at the salon.
EXPLOITED
While speaking about her living arrangements with her foster father, the colleagues realised to their horror that the naive girl may have been exploited as a sex slave by her foster father.
Her colleagues notified the girl's uncle, who immediately made a police report.
The man, a 49-year-old construction worker, was arrested. He will be in remand until Friday.
The girl's uncle, identified only as Ah Cai, told Guang Ming Daily that her parents had divorced when she was young.
As her mother (Ah Cai's sister) was mentally ill, the uncle took the girl into his care.
It is not known what happened to her father.
But when the girl was 9, Ah Cai met with health and family problems.
He then handed the girl over to her current foster father, who is a relative of her father.
Ah Cai said that when the girl in Primary 2, her foster father ordered her to stop going to school
That was why she had no friends and no one to talk to about what was happening athome.
NEW HOME
After her revelation, the girl moved in with one of her colleagues, who lives next door to the foster father.
Ah Cai claimed that the foster father tried to abduct the girl in the middle of the night, hoping to run away to Perlis with her.
The man ran away when the colleague called the police.
The girl is now under the care of Ah Cai, who is determined to protect her.
Seremban police told Guang Ming Daily that the victim claimed her foster father had warned her many times not to tell anyone of what he did to her.
The man reportedly threatened to beat her if she did.
On top of that, he also allegedly told her: 'If I am arrested, there will be no one to take care of you.' | | | | |

The father is so sick lor.. I cannot imagine he did it to his kid since she was 9 years old!
