Total SGC$: 237.75 | Depression What would u do if ur best friend fell into depression? He/she is so depressed and isnt thinking rationally that thoughts of committing suicide crossed his/her mind several times and he/she even tried to kill himself/herself in front of u.
What can u, as a best friend, do to help? (Besides asking him/her to see a doc for medications.) |

to fall in love is always easy
to start a relationship is always simple
to build it, is always tough
to maintain it, is 'better said than done'
to break off, is 'easier said than done'
to remain friends after u broke off, is never possible
to forget the memories is 'always doing but never succeeding'
to heal the pain within is hard and tough and never near simple
but one has to try to heal your own heart...

Hence, self help is very impt. Next, support from family/frens |

Go into self denial mood.
C doc n took anti-depressant pills, sleeping pills etc. Find things to keep myself busy. Find frens out. Oso try not to tink abt those problems (can escape it temp but still got to face it eventually) so it's better to face the problem asap. Earlier the person can face it, the faster he/she can get out of it |

However, do prepare to engage professional help if things got worse. If you cant do it alone, get someone better to help you with it. Good Luck! Is still have up to him/her to face the problems going around them. what can do now is let them think of postive thinking and don't let think of negative thoughts. Ask to go out meet friend or someone very close to them try to make them happy and someone to talk to.
Cos my mum also have depression so we have to 24 hrs to look after her. |

You should listen to what he has to say and be willing and ready to help him. You are his best friend! He needs someone to talk to, to pour out his thoughts and feelings and it seems that he is trying to tell you something! (by attempting suicide infront of you) Focus all your attention on him since it is obvious that he wants someone to talk to. Try to let his family understand his problems of depression also. Because this thing will only get worse without treatment, and the consequences are irreversible. If he decides to do somet | |
