I drop out of poly, go NS, then take private dip in IT, work in IT line, decided for a career switch, apply for poly full time, and got my Chemical and Pharmaceutical course. Yup, i'm 28 tis yr. I wonder if i were to graduate from NP wif an IT diploma in year 1999 and decided to take another course now, would I be able to do so? Hmm.

I tink u r rite on dat $$$ aspect. They needed money, dat's why they give higher priority to foreigners. No idea how much they are paying. I'm sure it's mentioned in the website and I'm sure the amount is a lot. So when an ex poly student question RP, they can simply say "You were already given a chance to study in poly but u did not took full advantage of it". Very innovative rite? If i were to set up a company, i also must tink like dat. Generate more revenue. Make more money. Even at the expense of denying ex poly students a chance to study again.

ITE more on technical courses, now they are even more recognised then before (some say their graduates are better than RP's?). Maybe coz of PBL.. lol. Art school deal only with art related courses, but then again, arts got prospect in Spore? Those talented ones all migrate already liao. I went to Lasalle college of the arts school at Mounbatten Rd in 1997 for creativity related courses and I must say I am impressed coz their way of teaching is so much different from conventional polys. And they use Macs, not surprising.

Anyway, u also applying for DAE? Got in already? Or u going for art related school?

I got Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology. Yup, have to wait. "An enrolment package will be sent to you. Please read all the information provided in the enrolment package and follow the instructions closely." I think from the previous posts, someone mentioned that for biz related courses, posting already out. Not sure whether true or not.

I tink got chance lah. Depends on wat course u are applying. Coz i tink they process by batches. Coz some of them already received their posting about a week ago. I juz received yesterday. Wat course did u apply for anyway?

all of its is IT. 1st choice multimedia and infocom 2nd would be information technology

IT? Tink u should refer back to the previous postings, someone mentioned that NYP offered his/her friend an IT course but she has no interest in IT. Maybe it is already out. I'm not too sure. Need to get feedback from the rest. But as long as the status is "receiving attention", i tink you still got chance. Otherwise they will quote u as "unsuccessful".

Hopefully you will get a reply. Or u can call them up to enquire. ITE fees are refundable? I tink it's a good idea. If u can't get into poly, ur next best option is ITE.
