(LVL 3)Qn: there are 10 jars of candies on a table. All jars are identical with same number of candies. out of these 10 jars, one jar is poisonous while the rest 9 jars are not. The only difference between the poisonous candies and the normal 9 jars of candies is the poisonous candy each weight 0.1g heavier.Each normal candy weigh let's say 1g. ( very big big clue! ) There is also an electronic weighting machine on the table. RESTRICTION IS It can weight ONLY ONCE. (meaning only 1 reading if u put candies on it and nothing else, cant have 2nd time , 3rd time and so on to weight & cant put sweets on it and remove them one by one as reading keep changing ) So how to determine which jar is poisonous?

(LVL 1)Qn: There are hm.. a jar of 3 litre and a jar of 5 litre empty containers available. Qn is how to get 4 litres of water in the jar from these 2 jars of containers when water are infinitely available for filling. Conditions are no water can overflow and can ONLY use the 2 jars ( even when there's water in both of them ) and water to get the 4 litres of water. there is no marking on the jars. Try not to use more than 2 mins.


(LVL2)QN: there are 3 switches on the wall which are to light up the 3 lightbulbs in a room. the room is closed behind a door and light can only be seen when room is open.One switch is meant for one lightbulb. How to determine which switch is for which lightbulb when the door can only be open ONCE to see the light.The key restriction here is DOOR CAN OPEN ONCE ONLY to CHECK and ONLY ONE BULB AT ONE TIME.

Answer for Q3:
take one candy from the 1st jar, 2 candies from the 2nd jar, 3 from the 3rd, and so on, and put them onto the scale carefully without mixing them. Assuming all the candies are normal, the total weight should be 55g. So, if there is any difference in weight, we can directly point out which jar has the poisonous ones. Let's say the total weight is 55.60g, that means there are 6 candies which weigh 0.1g heavier and they are from the 6th jar.

Answer for Q2:
there are two possible answers for this Q.
First alternative is you press the 1st switch and wait for few mins, then press the 2nd switch and quickly go into the room to check the light bulb. If the bulb is on and hot, means it connects to the 1st switch. If the bulb is on and cool, means it connects to the 2nd one. And finally if the bulb is off, means it connects to the 3rd one.

The second alternative is actually similar to the 1st.
Here, first you press the 1st switch and wait for few mins, then turn it off and press the 2nd switch, and quickly go to the room to check. If the light is off but hot, means the 1st is the real one. If the light is on, means it's the 2nd. and finally, if the light is off and cool, means it's the 3rd one.


Answer to Q1:
First, fill in the 3L jar until it's full, then put the water into the 5L jar. Repeat once again until the 5L jar is full, and you will have 1L water left on the 3L jar. Then all you need to do is throw away all the water in the 5L jar, move the 1L water from the 3L jar to the 5L jar, fill in the 3L jar until it's full, and finally move the 3L water from 3L jar to 5L jar. BINGO!!, now there is 4L water in the 5L jar.
