exploring the options out there?

i'm currently doing Business Management (BBM), majoring in Finance- International Trading, to put it simply, i learn how to trade in commodities, stuff like oil, cotton, coffee etc etc haha!

lots of options(majors) under BBM, which includes finance, marketing, human resource, corporate communications etc. and under each options, there are various fields u can go to. for example, for finance, there are other fields like investment banking, private banking, wealth management etc etc.

where do ur interests lie?

Took Computing (Business Focus) in NUS. Just graduated. Mine's basically like Business IT in poly but more in depth. What I do is a mixture of Business and computing courses lor (duh.) lol

currently taking mechanical engg in nus.
main scope u will be learning are:
mechanic- how to calculate and design structure , machine, beam, etccc.
heat transfer- how engine works??
maths is the most important subject for engg course esp mechanical.
if maths no gd sure gone case.
job scope for mechanical engg is very broad

I've just completed degree in Commerce with double major in Management and Marketing.

Will be commencing Sem 1 in Master of Commerce majoring in Management.

Basically in Mgt you learn how to manage HR, organisational behaviour, ethics involving business, indentify your competitive advantage over competitors and develop strategies as well as a bit of foundation in accounting and finance, IT etc.

Marketing involve developing marketing plan/campaign using various media packages. You'll learn about consumer behaviour, develop strategic marketing plans etc.

M-Com in Mgt mainly into strategic aspect of management. I was going to take M-com International business but that require several mandatory knowledge in accounting and finance which I do not have.

Overall its quite interesting. Like what others have said, it depends where your interest lies.

English literature sound fun ^^ .. I am interested in jobs people tend take when they take a course. I am interested in a job called Fashion buyer. I just found it attractive as you get to travel all around the world. Anyone know or work before as this? How was it like

P.S. I am triple science student planning to go JC though i dun think my sciences won't help much in the job i am interested in .. LOL

My ambition is one that is entirely non related to my course of study. I intend to sign up with SIA as Airline Pilot once I graduate from my master program.

Initially the plan was to finish my degree and return to Singapore to settle down but since SIA only accepts candidates at 26 years old, I thought why not pursue higher education while I reach the age of 26. At the moment I'm 23 so about 25.5 years old I'll be sending in my resume and hope for the best.

If that fails, the contigency would be a job related to my course of study.

But on the serious note, its good fun. Exposes you to foriegn culture which in my opinion opens your mind alot more as compared to Singapore.
