Something you might want to ponder....Are you controlling your life or are you controlled by life itself?

if we observe carefully, we will discover that there are people who seem to have everything they want in life. Great relationship, made alot of money, could travel around the world, having a wonderful life. It seem that they have found a way to control their life.

On the different side of the spectrum, you also see people struggling, trying to make ends meet. Trying to fight the ever raising cost of living. It seem that they are controlled by circumstances, controlled by life.

Why is that so? And which side of the spectrum are you?:mellow3:

i believe i'am controlling my life too, every action results in a consequence. Karma.

I think its gotta do with how you perceive life to be. A person who is happy tends to find himself leading a life that is much envied by many. He may not be successful. Doesn't have much achievements. But he knows at that point of time what he wants and he just go for it. These are the people who control their life and not the other way round.

As for the latter example you state, those could be the ones who may experienced tough life in the initial stage. But once everything seem much stable, he too, can also lead a life like a happy man.

Sometimes in life, we lost ourselves. COmparing with others in terms of relationship, studies, achievements, weathiness, status etc in this competitive society, but what it really matters is what you want to be deep inside your heart. Do you want to be purely happy or you just want to win others over these senseless comparisons?

Its really up to individuals' perception of life. :mellow3:

i guess people who are contended with what they have, will feel they are in control.

those who keep feeling something is missing, why is so many people richer than them, will be struggling to fill the emptiness they feel.

i believe i'm struggling. my current life is not enough to support what i have in mind.

anyway.. i hope i am in control of my life haha... at least i know that i have a choice over everything is just that i want or dun wan nia...

They are still controlled by life. Though they have what they wanted, this is still call life. It is controlling us and telling us what we need. =) Ican, no offence. :rock:

im controlling my life which in turn is being controlled by it as well.Serously there is no real answer to you are controlling it or being controlled by it, cus every action has it own consequences and some time its the surrounding that force you to make these choices lol.

I somehow agree with Xeiton. Little things in life is easier for us to take control of. For example helping someone in need, buying something, working/studying hard. However, situations that are large scale is difficult to take control of. In fact, you may be control by it, especially in the working society. For instance, your company is going on a retenchment plan, fighting a war killing people to defend your country and love ones. I believe that there are time we have to do things against our own will.
So far my life is still within my control, and I hope to maintain it loh.
