Hiyeez SGClubbers... ever thought of...

1) How composers can come out with so nicely-produced songs?

2) Who to listen & "really bother" to critic my own songs, when ya friends "听了一次就算"?


This club is set up to gather people who like composing. Doesnt' matter whether u have good musical background. Most important is you've the passion to pen lyrics, create melodies, and explore musical instruments!

Hopefully, when there're sufficient members, we can meet out to discuss. Better still, see one another at S-Pop 2, if there's one. LOL. Hence, writing chinese songs would be our priority!


Benefits we would get:

1) Make new friends
2) Exchange ideas of how to write better songs
3) Learn how to play new instruments from one another, if some kind souls are willing to teach and exchange tips.
4) Cut cost of going to a musical school.
5) Form a band with the members being formed, be it playing pop songs or composed songs.
6) Build up reputation as a solo-ist, form an outing with SGClub members, and mesmerize them with ya talents!
7) Get our hard work recognised at Beanidol.com, where we see our songs get voted, and get head-hunted one day!



For people who are interested to meet up one day together, please let me know ya msn- either by posting a reply here or PM me (if you aren't comfortable in revealing ya MSN in public). I would then set up a convenient date for us to meet! It would be somewhere like Esplanade, or some quiet place initially. When we are ready, let's chiong for one jamming studio!

hahaz... tis thread is also about musical instruments. cos if we have to compose melodies, and add in accompaniments, it would need to involve musical instruments. basically, it's to share with others ya skills, so one can learn from one another. =] different from kbox club, whereby anyone can join. =p

interesting! i always regretted not joining SCC (Song Composing Club) when I was in Ngee Ann Poly...just too much of a bummer then...lol...but anyway, arranging music is one hell of a knowledge...if all of us r straight amateurs, how is it gona work out?
