Colour contact lens ;

I saw over the news few days back that if you put on colour contact lens too often, it will gives your eyes problem in future.

Such as scratches to the cornea and worst might lead to blindness.

I think its pretty true, cause in the past I always wear colour lens only and my eyes always get infections despite the fact that I always cleans my lens properly.

I went to the optician for eye check and realise there are really scratches and luckily its still in the minor stage, so it wasn't that bad.

Now I'm using daily lens which is really very comfortable and my eyes no longer give me any problems. I went back for another eye check and all the scratches are gone.

So I guess if there isn't much of a need, I would advise you not to put on colour lens too often. There's really a high price to be paid for being vain.

i studied abit on the eye in my sch.. and yah.. even rubbing ur eyes can scratch ur eyes.
and never press on ur eyeballs( some ppl do that when their eyes are tired or when they're stressed)
the pressure from the pressing will cause ur veins to rupture, leding to blindness. scary

normal lens is okay, as its much breathable for the eyes.

eyes is really important!

as long as its not coloured lens it okay.
but if your eyes is tired or what, try not to wear contact lens.

rubbing eyes too often might also cause that.

My friend had an operation after she had some kind of infection when she started wearing coloured contacts... That happened before she knew me, so I don't know the details. But it's quite scary.

I never had problems with coloured lenses before, but I won't wear when my eyes feel tired (more of lazy lah lol). They're more drying than normal contacts, and sometimes cause blurry vision (especially if worn for the first few times).

ah!!! i thought all contact lenses will somehow scratch eye wan? i guess colored ones are more "scarier"...

if you put it in and take it out correctly it wun really scratch your eyes for the normal lens.

but try to cut down on coloured lens if you are a regulary user.

anyway, do you know tat even if you dun put on your lens you got to change the solution daily?

that was told by my optician.
