Christopher Lee's drink-driving case adjourned


MEDIACORP artist Christopher Lee, who was charged with five traffic offences, had his case adjourned for eight weeks on Thursday.

His case will resume on April 26.

Lee also made an application to travel out of the country, saying that he needed to go to China for work.

Dressed in a blue short-sleeved shirt with a grey tie, he appeared in the Subordinate Courts with three others, including his manager.

The 35-year-old faces five drink driving and hit-and-run charges. These include failing to stop after an accident, not rendering help to the victims and removing his car from the scene.

He is accused of fleeing in his black Mercedes-Benz after having knocked down a motorcycle carrying two men near Mustafa Centre in Little India at around 4am on a Sunday morning last October.

A nearby police car stopped him and brought him back to the scene, where he was given a breathalyser test.

Those found guilty of drink driving can be fined up to $5,000, or jailed up to six months and banned from driving for at least a year.
