Default A career after 50s?

I have a ex-colleague who just turn 50s and find difficulty in getting a new job despite the fact that the unemployment rate hit the lowest in these years.

If u r the recruiter, would u consider someone who is over 50? For these pple, what kind of attuide shd they hv toward job searching? U think there is stil a career after 50s??

face it, it's gonna be hard, unless he has a high education like a masters or something, and previously held positions as senior management. perhaps he should look into cabbie as an alternative, as being a cabbie can be quite flexible in terms of timing. he might wanna start off as a relief driver if he's unsure.

dun think he would wanna end up as a cleaner or a security guard rite?

It's certainly more difficult as one gets older. No dispute there.

But their expectations and attitude towards job searching depends on their previous job/s.

I notice some just cant lower their expectation and accept the fact that its time to do lesser and sit back and relex a bit....
