Madam Huang Gui Yu, 52, lost control of the car and crashed into a fruit tree by the side of the road, reported Guang Ming Daily.
She was pronounced dead on the spot from head injuries.
Madam Huang, an insurance manager, was driving to town when the accident happened at noon on Saturday.
Face covered in blood, Madam Huang sat in her car, unmoving. Nearby pedestrians called for an ambulance.
One of her superiors, Ms Wen Yan Hong, who was passing by, immediately called her husband for help, as well as Madam Huang's family members.
Madam Huang's bosses also rushed down to the scene.
Madam Huang had been in the insurance line for 17 years, and was promoted to manager four years ago. She had five children with her husband, Mr Liu Xing Qiang.
It is believed that the piece of wood fell from the lorry and penetrated the victim's car's windscreen, hitting her head and killing her.
Malaysian police have yet to confirm how she was killed.
A witness, named Xu, said he saw Madam Huang's car travelling behind the lorry. Wooden construction materials were wobbling on the back of the lorry, then suddenly shot out, piercing the car's windscreen.
He said: 'The car immediately swerved left and right. I stopped my motorcycle and approached the car to look, and found that it was full of blood inside.'
He added: 'Then I heard a man shout for me to stop the lorry, so I jumped back on my motorcycle and chased the lorry until the police arrived.'
The report did not say what happened to the lorry driver.
