Hey peeps,
just read some reviews on asia.cnet.com and seriously, I'm very tempted to get quite a lot of phones, but I'm pounding my head over this issue.
My line (M1) is about to expire, and I'm considering to change a phone. I'm a very loyal S.E supporter and has been using quite a number of SE phone [this is my 4th SE phone]
The reason why I love SE phone is because, they can take wonderful shots and very reliable when it comes to everyday use. Another reason would be, their phone price wouldn't depreciate as fast as other models.
The market is mainly dominated by Nokia, S.E, Samsung, followed by LG and HTC (and other smart phones). I'm no business-woman, so definitely, I don't need a smart phone, but since my school provides free campus connection, it would be stupid if I don't opt to buy a wifi-enabled phone right? But the problem is, because of my love to change handphones, I've used before quite a few different types of handphones and I couldn't help but avoid manufacturers like Samsung and LG due to personal preferences. I'm alittle biased towards Nokia as I can't really see well without my spectacles/contact lens so texting at night when I'm about to sleep would be a big problem. Also, Nokia phone doesn't really take nice pictures. As for HTC/O2 branded smart phones, they can't change their message tone, which is very irritating to me, that's why I chose to stick to S.E even though it disappoints me at times.
There are quite a few good phones in the market now, to name a few of those that I'm interested in,
-SE G900
-3G iPhone
-Samsung Soul
I think a lot of people are discussing about the craze that iPhone is bringing onto Singaporeans, so no doubt I'm affected by it as well, but I'm really thinking hard on the practicality of me purchasing one other than to "wow" people when I flash my phone.
Firstly, I personally has an iPod Nano for music entertainment, so I don't need a music phone. Next, I don't watch video too, so the giga memory onboard would be a waste too. But what I find impressive is, the GPS technology. In that way, I would never be lost without an idea of where I was
But other than that, I really have no idea why I should buy the iPhone.
As for SE G900, I'm very tempted because, it makes me feel, less regretful for not buying the w960i. I was initially drawn to w960i because of the wifi ability and the 3.2mp camera. But G900 totally fitted my description of a dream phone. First of all, it is not a music phone, and its camera is 5mp, totally satisfy the needs of a photographic fan like me. Secondly, it is wifi-enabled. Best of all, it doesn't have huge onboard memory and does not lag the system
But the price is abit expensive with S$438 with normal student plan.
Lastly, the Samsung Soul U900.
Like what I mentioned, I'm very prejudiced against Samsung phones, but this phone attracted me, reason being, it has the face detection which the other two phones do not comes with and the design as well is very classy. It also doesn't lose out to the G900, as the camera is also 5mp.
I'm so troubled which phone to choose, and I seriously hope that some helpful souls would give me their 5-cent worth opinions

definitely thankful if can get some good advice here!! (Do recommend me other models which you think might suit me this picky person!)
