I believe that it pisses most of the NP students including me that we have to wait 36 1/2 MINS just for 61... ( it says on the board thingy )

2 worst case - its not bendy bus (longer ones) / waits 40+ mins , 2 bus came at the same time... empty....

Seriously, they shld be earning sooo much, but their service is not really well organized...

Can't blame them, too much traffic jam, and many peoples boarding the bus, so crowded, we usually have to wait 30 - 1 hrs for a bus.

its either not bendy + full before reaching the NP stop, or two buses came at the same time.

Seriously, they earn so much already, why cant they improve their service quality like making the bus comes faster or send more bus...

Such slow service, and they increase the fare... (last time was cheaper right?)

they are taking it for granted that we really need to take buses, so it would seem like they have more power controlling the services....

SMRT Buses:
Late due to reasons..
1. Not enough buses.
2. Traffic jams
3. Buses does not report to bus stop on time (as in it come too early.)

For those who studied in NP before (our resident bus enthusiat *sic* excluded), 61 is notorious for being ridiculously late...

After 3 years in NP and even going back during the holidays, if you've observed carefully... The problem is not completely what our "bus enthusiast" *sic* says... But rather a genuine lack of action from the company to deploy more buses on the route... The company knows there is a pressing need, but they're just not willing to do anything about it...

When I was there, we wrote in to complain about it... Even gathered a petition... But we got lame excuses about "bus bunching"... When we wrote about the ridiculous frequencies...

This is quite well-known for NP ex-students to take alternative buses...

61 is such a killer that people rather walk to the petrol station's bus stop to take other buses that goes to BB interchange..

If there's really something that SMRT could do, they would have done it long time ago..
I doubt the poly could do anything to help its own students too..

i believe poly requested bus no.74 empty bus to be at the bus stop at 5pm, 1 or 2 of them...
it really helps the student taking 74...
but no choice, NP to interchange quite fast, cant request for empty bus.

Bus 61 travels a long route =/ probable thats why its so slow =/

Though i really didn't think their frequency changed much in the last few years

yea... i used to wait for a long time when i was schooling 2 years back. it seems like it didnt improve. >.< heard from a friend u could complain about the bus if it doesnt come for >20mins.

it's like this during peak hr.gt used to it u complain also no use.
i used to b waiting for bus 174 to boon lay every morning n gt to squuze with all the student. to make thing wost, its always pack to the brink very often so either i wake up 30 min earlier to take another bus or took the earlier bus. That's very piss off.
But den nw i change to taking bus if notdrive better.
wouldn't be late for anything.

Personally i don't think i deserve to pay $0.85 to $1.50++ to take a bus to anywhere when they don't come on time and cause ppl to be late for sch or wrk. Its not about the driver pay but its rather that the bus company don't deserve to ask the consumer to pay more to travel.

I would rather take train if possible.

VERY VERY BAD SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE FROM BUS. BUS COMPANY ITS SIMPLY UNFAIR TO COMMUTER they should lower the fare price instead of keep INCREASING THE FARE!!!

The faking problem bus SBS service its that even though u complain to them either they take very very long (THEIR OWN SWEET TIME TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM) or they wouldn't bother about yr complain. Why not try highlight the issue to the parliament or the grassroot members.

1 wrong word on parliament, u will get fined or jailed, furthur more, i remembered SBS/TIBS, the owner is lee hsien long wife or some1 else wife with BIGGG influence in the parliament.

Smrt also very what, everytime complain.. its the same old reason. What traffic jam or bus bunching . Sometime wait for 61 also no bunching occur =\\\ But then check the ezlink card got tap anot then very li hai..

same here... the last time I took bus no. 61 was also quite some time ago... I also waited for very very very long time for the bus to arrive... I still remember it was at the bus stop near Queens Way Shopping Centre...

so amazing that there is still no improvement after years!

I thought LTA is saying that they will improve the public transport system? the fares are increased numerous times already... so when will the service be improved? perhaps after another round of fare increase? hah

actually,taking 61 is kinda long esp if u take frm one interchange to another.takes u almost 1h45mins
