THE body of a supermarket worker has been recovered after the lorry he was in slipped into the sea off Sarimbun on Thursday morning.
The victim, a Malaysian Chinese in his twenties, was with two other colleagues from Sheng Siong supermarket loading fish in the lorry when the incident happened.
His body was found at 2.05pm in the container of the lorry.
The 24-footer lorry was parked on a jetty at the port next to the Sarimbun Camp. The driver had earlier applied the brakes and a rock was also used to prevent the lorry from slipping.
The missing man's colleagues managed to escape unhurt before the vehicle was fully submerged.
Two of the supermaket's directors and the father of the missing man are the scene to find out more about the incident.
