Systolic pressure: The blood pressure generated when the heart contracts.

Diastolic pressure: The blood pressure when the heart is relaxed.

HIGH Blood Pressure Symptoms:

• Bloatedness
• Falling systolic & diastolic pressure
• Sedentary--not physically active; often sitting down (based on Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary)
• Stress
• Weak

LOW Blood Pressure Symptoms:

• Coma
• Dizziness
• Fainting
• Tired
• Weak

To-Do List:

1. Take your blood pressure using a blood pressure monitor.
2. Compare your blood pressure reading against the Blood Pressure Chart above. Draw a line from your Systolic to your Diastolic.
3. Pondor through this few questions:
   • Is the slope of your line similar to the one shown on the chart?
   • Where do you fit in? What are your risk factors?
   • Are your blood pressure readings within the normal blood pressure range?
   • Should you take any anti-hypertension medication to control your blood pressure?

Note: The range of normal human daily blood pressure can vary widely, so a single blood pressure reading is NOT RELIABLE. Blood pressure readings MUST be taken at different times of the day to determine the AVERAGE blood pressure.

For me, when I visited the doctor recently cos I was sick, he took my blood pressure & told me that my reading was considered to be normal, although I never got to know the exact figure.
