why blog? to attract attention? that's the conclusion i get from most of my juniors. Seriously, daily school routine is damn boring... Might as well don't blog. What's worse, i don't understand what they are saying.. Just those flowery words. "EUUXXX" [all the XX SS all come out] =.= Really irritating, but it's their blog. but still, IRRITATING =X :biggrin4:

i have to agree.. sometimes, blogging about wad u do everyday in sch is really sians.. but ppl may tink different cos, not everyday is the same

yea i started from having my own personal website with photos, my own personal stories to share etc... that was back in 1997... then i started writing "diary entries" in my personal website... then slowly, blog became the in-thing.

I see blogging as a tool to communicate news to oversea friends. As a lot can be put into the blog site's pages (photos especially) it definitely surpasses the old method of posting letters and attaching photos to friends or family members who are not in Singapore. Saves a whole lot of money too!

Since there are zillions of bloggers online, it is not possible to read everyone's blog. We do so only when someone gives us a link but even then, unless we know who the person is, we're also not likely to log into that blog all the time. Maybe we'll have a quick look and that's it. Of course, we might come across someone whose diary is very interesting and well-written. But generally, I think only my friends will bother to go to my blog to see what nonsense I have been up to lately de.

Blogging is the 'in' thing and we need not really reveal personal and private information if we are not comfortable with doing so. We can write about our goals, our perspective on general issues, our opinions on topics of interests, etc.

My blog site also allows me to get to know people from all over the world who shares the same interests as me. Not bad mah, make friends from overseas - learn about their cultures and way of life and hopefully if there's the opportunity to visit their countries at least I get to have a local friend to show me the sights.

That's my opinion of the advantages of blogging.

erm blog can use to share sum interesting info..

Whether blogging is good or bad will be up to the author of those entries. For me I see it as good becos my friends can get an update of my life and my bf who travels often will not miss out on what I've been doing. I suppose it will only be bad if the writer is irresponsible on the topics they write. No matter what, it is not comparable to a diary that is usually meant to be private. Whereas this is a public website that is for all to see.
